Ready Player One by Ernest ClineMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was fun! This book was so much fun!!
Not only was it a cool and suspenseful science-fiction story with lovable characters, it was also a wild and nostalgic ride through my fond memories of the 80's.
During the 80's I was living in the US. So playing Asteroids, Pac-man and DonkeyKong in arcades, seeing Star Trek, Star Wars, Bladerunner and so on at the movies, visiting science fiction conventions and dressing up in my favorite characters was all part of my life.
Ernest Cline brought this time back in vivid images.
I enjoyed myself immensely while reading READY PLAYER ONE!

Very cute knitting book with lovely pictures and little stories.
Can't say anything about the quality of the patterns yet. Will do that once I've knitted something from the book.

American Gods by Neil GaimanMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Marvelous! This book was an exciting, sometimes disturbing road trip through America. It's amazing how one mind can come up with such a complex and stunning story. This novel deserved every award it has received.

Hounded by Kevin HearneMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
So much fun!!!
I had a great time reading this book. Druids and gods, werewolfs and vampires, sweet old neighborly ladies and other great characters made this a different type of urban fantasy. The main character male for a change, is very loveable and his dog is so funny. The story was interesting and I especially liked the setting of the book in Tempe, Arizona, since I used to live there for a few years.
Now I am off to order the next two books available in this series!
